The Dental Implant is an artificial root which is implanted in the jawbone or jaw to assure the replacement of one or more lost teeth. The implants are made of a metal called titanium that is accepted by the organism and do not cause rejection.
TMDs represent dysfunctions that affect the temporomandibular articulations (TMA). TMAs or temporomandibular articulations are the small articulations located in front of the ears; they unite the jaw to the cranium. They are very complex articulations and the area where these are found is an extremely complicated net of the bones, including the teeth, of the muscles and of the nerves.
